Sotto, Doma or Mercato di Vetro?

Have not been to any of these and want to try some new italian. They all sound different, but who has the best food and ambience, where you could hear yourself talk?

From your choices listed, I'd pick Sotto. Never had a bad meal there. It is actually, my current favorite for Italian in Los Angeles.

It also may be worth your while to check into Bestia. I recently had a ridiculously good meal there (although, the pizzas are not on par with Sotto) everything else was phenominal.

I have not been to Mercato, but Sotto is fantastic and based on my one visit to DOMA (which is still working the kinks), Sotto is the call.

Agree with Sotto, although the noise level can at times be a bit high (though much better then it's predecessor Test Kitchen)
