TO financial district - finding pasteries for Saturday morning meeting

I'm drawing a blank for breakfast treats aside from Tim Hortons, Starbucks, etc. I checked Petit Thuet but it doesn't open until 9:00 on the weekend. Any suggestions? BTW, no access to a car. I suspect if I buy the night before, they would be stale by the morning. Thanks in advance.

Pusateri's in Yorkville is close to Bay station's Bay St exit, and has a good selection of better quality, fresh pastries every day. Opens at 7:30 on Sat mornings. http://pusateris.com/stores/yorkville/

Future Bakery in the St Lawrence Market, and several stalls in the North side of the St. Lawrence Market, have pastries available early Saturday morning. Future Bakery's pastries aren't nearly as good as they once were, but maybe someone can recommend their best of their current offerings.

The Churrasco place in SLM sells Portuguese custard tarts.

The Aroma Espresso Bar in the Eaton Centre might be worth considering, too. I like their date pastry, and the bourekas. (Edit: Aroma won't work, opens at 9:30 Sat. http://www.torontoeatoncentre.com/EN/... )

I didn't realize Pusateri's opened so early, I'll check there. I wanted something better than timbits if we have to work Saturday morning! Thanks.

Not generally a first choice for dining but Marche at Yonge and Wellington would probably be fine for this and they open early.

Unfortunately that Marché is closed weekends.

No it isn't -- unless it's a very new development. I work weekends and several people in our office go there for breakfast around 8 or so.

O&B Canteen Grab and Go opens at 8 apparently. Muffins, danish and croissants I believe.

Can also find some O & B Canteen baked goods at Foodwares at The Bay lower level, at Yonge/Queen. Not sure if they are open Satruday but I'm guessing they are....

They are not open when I sometimes come to work 8am Saturday morning (I can't even cut through the housewares to BAC because the TTC exit is all locked up). Not sure what time they do open, maybe when the store opens at 9 or 10?

Hmm, interesting. I did not know that. I'm lucky in that my work does not bring me to the PATH on the weekends, only on weekdays. Good to know....

Thor Espresso Bar (Bathurst & Niagara) opens at 8:00am. They (used to) stock Glory Hole Doughnuts (not cheap~ $4.50 each).
But it's a small place - even if you want a half-dozen (say) I'd call them a few days ahead to ensure stock.
