It's almost my birthday so we trying to plan to get a sitter and go out for a nice meal. Pre-baby, we might have tried to get a reservation at someplace like Le Bernadin (pre-fixe, multicourse, dress up, expensive, etc.). Now, I think we'd prefer something more laid back but still refined -- I am thinking more along the lines of Craft, but not Craft as that's where we went the only other time we've done this in the last year. I think we're open to anything, but not huge sushi-eaters.

  1. Tocqueville
    Lincoln
    The Nomad
    Colicchio and Sons
    Marea

    1. Jean-George (maybe not laid back enough)
      ALDEA
NoMad (but the Parlour room or the Fireplace room)
      Gramercy Tavern
      Mas La Grillade
      Mas Farmhouse
      WD-50

      1. Telepan

        1. Nougatine is the laid back version of Jean Georges.
Riverpark has a nice unusual location.
