Fava beans

I am in search of fresh or frozen fava beans. Anyone know where I can get them in/near DC?

It did take a whole day before someone said it. Tried to find them at a humongous Wegman's out in who knows where MD, to no avail. Called Shemali's they say they have. I will try to get there tomorrow.

I have purchased frozen at Shoppers Food Warehouse in Alexandria and at Fresh World in Springfield. Fresh World does have fresh ones at times.

H Mart and El Grande occasionally have fresh Favas out of season, and I picked up some frozen ones (still in their "intermediate" pods) at the latter last week, but have yet to try them.

By all means, NEVER go to the Dupont Farmer Market in the Spring - Those are all MINE! :)

harris teeter blows. Try in the Latino section of the frozen case . . . . or find a bigger supermarket.

For fresh beans you are probably have to wait until they are in season, but you should be able to get frozen in almost any major supermarket in the area.

Goya has a frozen product that you should be able to find easily. I haven't looked recently but I think wegmans has a store brand and I would bet that Whole Foods has an overpriced brand that should be easy to find.
