Osgoode Hall Restaurant
I would love to try the Osgoode Hall Restaurant. It is only open for lunch between noon and 2 p.m. Fixed price menu and heard it's great. If anyone who works downtown (Queen West) or is willing to meet me there for lunch one day, please respond to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will arrange a lunch.
My father has been eating at the Osgoode Hall Resteraunt for the past 30 years. The food, service, and atmosphere are excellent. Members of the public should make a reservation in advance. Be warned that the place is full of lawyers and judges having lunch which usually starts at 1 pm when the court is adjourned for lunch. You will have to go through court security with a metal detector before you can enter the building. The resteraunt is on the second floor which is a little hard to find but there are lots of people in the building who can direct you to the resteraunt. When in the building, you can visit the law library which is next to the resteraunt. Be sure to look at the American Room with an unbelievable vintage staircase.
I can vouch for the fact that it is one of the best kept secrets of the Toronto lunch scene. Superb service, excellent food, and what a room! Who needs the Ritz Carlton - we should be celebrating and supporting iconic dining halls like Osgoode.
I will PM you and see if we can meet for lunch there.
