where to go before a movie near Momofuku noodle bar if we can't get in there?

Going on Tuesday to see a movie at City Cinema at 8. We're hoping to go to Momofuku NB around 7 for quick ramen before the film. If we get in, can we get in and out in a hour?

More important, if they're full, who else might be good and quick? We love Asian soups and something like that might be requisite on a potentially cold night. But most cuisines are fine. Not sushi, not burgers, though.

  1. Zabb City is right about there and pretty good for Thai. I'd say Masak but I don't think they're that fast.

    1. Misoya on 2nd Av between 7th & St. Marks has excellent ramen; Soba-Ko on 5th St. b/t 1st & 2nd Av [much closer to 2nd] for good soba; V-Nam Cafe on 1st b/t 1st & 2nd St. for good pho; l haven't tried the soups at Zabb Elee, but it's great Thai don't suffer for a lack of choices in the nabe!

I 2nd everything Howdini said. You might what to add Cha An, Sobaya, Robataya or Maharlika. I'd say Ippudo , but doubtful if you get in there. Misoya's Hokkaido style miso with the corn in it is my favorite.
