Napa, CA restaurants

  • 3

Will be visiting Napa next month for a weekend. Would appreciate recommendations for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday-Sunday. We are staying at the Andaz Hotel and would like to find some walkable options. A search of the board helped me find two Italian options that looked good: Oenotri and Allegria. Any other places you have tried and enjoyed? Any cuisine...any price range. Would also like to know if you favor any of the wine tasting rooms also within walking distance. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

  1. Dinner: Bistro Don Giovanni is good food and good fun. Feels like you were invited to a rich Italian wedding.
Not walkable but great breakfast: Boon Fly Cafe in the Carneros Inn. On Hwy 121 about 10 min from DT Napa.

    1. Avoid Allegria; mediocre Italian food at best. If you want Italian in downtown Napa, you want Oenetri.

Other walkable restaurants from your hotel would include Angele (beautiful river-front location), Zuzu (great tapas), Morimoto (over-priced and pretentious sushi, but fun for a splurge), and Grace's Table (a local's favorite - go for happy hour from 3:00 to 6:00 and just eat through the half-price appetizer menu).

There are a handful of great tasting rooms in downtown: Backstreet Wines and Vintner's Collective are my favorites.

      1. Thank you both for your help!
