Avatars in replies

I have already asked for this, but please re-institute the avatars in replies to posts. It is particularly annoying when reading heated conversations - the avatar used to be an instantaneous clue as to whether a post was a rebuttal or a brand-new poster chiming in. It is also jarring from a design perspective - if you have avatars, have them everywhere we participate. It makes no sense to eliminate them in some contexts but not others.

Yep, I'm aware of the existing thread, and once upon a time, I addressed this in the general threads about the redesign. Since nobody seems to be answering this particular request, I figured I'd just be annoying with yet another new thread. Maybe not the most effective approach, but I'm sick of being ignored when it's such a simple request that nobody seems to be arguing against.

Exactly. Very disappointing to have had something that most people appreciated and used removed in this redesign. So we see avatars on the original post and any first-level replies, but not having avatars on any secondary or tertiary replies is very frustrating.

      1. Hi Wahooty,

Avatars are back as of today's release. Thanks so much for your interest and your request!

Ugh, liked it better when there were no avatars at all for anyone.

And I liked it better when playing in a bowl game on New Year's Day actually meant something.

Look...I get it. But if yer gonna have 'em...why do it half-assed?
