Question about Roxlet's flour frosting from a novice baker

I have the epicurious chocolate layer cake from the thread below in the oven and want to make Roxlet's flour frosting. Cake is for a bunch of basketball players who have requested chocolate. What is the best way to make the frosting chocolate? I am more concerned with the look than a rich chocolate taste since I can tell the cake is going to be very chocolatey.

Cocoa powder? Melt some chocolate into the frosting when it is stovetop?

If you want the best (and easiest) chocolate frosting around, make ganache. Stupid easy and A-Ma-Zing to eat.

Next time I'll try that. I didn't have any cream on hand so I wanted to try the flour frosting. Ended up having to redo the melted chocolate part as apparently chocolate chips burn rather than melt in the microwave.

you have to watch them carefully. easier to melt in a double boiler imo.

Yep, that's what I did on Round Two. Worked fine. Told you, I'm a novice in the baking department.
