"Foodie Card" deal in Vancouver/Whistler

https://www.socialshopper.com/vancouv...

I don't eat at any of these restaurants but if I did the discounted deal would probably be worth it.

Yikes! I would hate to be a card carrying foodie.

Cafe D’Afrique is the only one I'd bother with and then probably once or twice a year at most.

and maybe for the family breakfast outing for those of us not from Vcvr area and consequently staying in hotel - the Herons Kitchen offer might work well - it's at the Fairmont dot com waterfront hotel location near Canada Place. some tables have partial views - nice atmosphere - in my experience, Fairmont employees are very service oriented - polite - good all-round place for multi-generation family meal

I was thinking this might be useful for someone who has lots of out of town guests given the current list. And at $45 you'd prolly only have to use it once to get your money back. Dunno anything about the promoters though.

Cafe D'Afrique always sounded like Cafe Da Freak to me .....

interesting - when one clicks on the "list of participating restaurants" (there are at least 3 links) - it comes up as "forbidden" on my computer.

I didn't have that issue, but I can't say the list ignites me in any way.

update - in all fairness - i emailed them and rec'd very quick polite reply that they are having tech issues at that moment - forbidden takes on a diff meaning ; )

does anyone look at Groupon? or Living Social?
possibly places that we might not talk about on here

Living Social is popular w/ our Portland OR family (i note several Vcvr chows go to PDX) she has good luck w/ hotels etc in SEA and PDX areas - and maybe some breakfasts in those hotels)
