Cooking on a Campout.
Sausage and peppers on a roll! For some reason those are always good while in the outdoors, and they are super easy to prepare, you could do the peppers on your RV stove and the sausage on your BBQ (or over an open fire). Might even be able to put the sausage and sliced peppers in foil packets over the fire. Never tried that myself though.
the default camp food in my world is breakfast burritos. Not just for breakfast.
Mine contain bacon, onion, bell pepper and jalapeno, all of which I dice at home and stash in a container, plus a couple of cans of hot rotel, a bag of refrigerated shredded potatoes (or canned potatoes) a dozen eggs and some shredded cheese all wrapped in big soft flour tortillas. Leftovers reheat great in the micro, or wrapped in foil near the fire.
Best when cooked in a repurposed tractor cultivator disk set over a turkey fryer burner.
We also always do a big, slow cooked hunk of meat. Usually pork shoulder. Pull and serve with condiments and tortillas, or not.
