Solvang dinner New Years Eve

We will be in Solvang for New Years Eve and want a good meal, not a party. I found two recommended restaurants Cabernet Bistro and Ballard Inn, but both charge prix fixe at $65 and up. Does anyone know of a good non-coffeeshop, non-sterile restaurant that might be less expensive that night for a good meal?

My favorite would be Trattorio Grappolo, an Italian restaurant in Santa Ynez, about three miles from Solvang. It is a locals place..great food and service. Definitely non sterile.
Root 246, the Bradley Ogden restaurant at the Hotel Corque is good. They did a fixed price dinner for Thanksgiving at $50. per person. The Christmas Eve is the same. I am not sure what NYE is and it isn't on their website yet. Also try Mirabelle in Solvang. Excellent food and service, not sterile not coffee shop.

Second Grappolo in Santa Ynez though it can add up there too. Worth it. http://www.trattoriagrappolo.com/ It has a nice urban hip feel yet is small town country - cowboy boots and designer jeans kind of place. And things will be rocking at the Maverick Saloon next door so you can be sure to at least get some News Years Eve festivity action too if you decide you want this afterall -- in again a small down home setting.
