Brunch near the Museum of Natural History Sunday

I am meeting a friend (both of us are from out-of-town) at the Museum of Natural History on Sunday and we're looking for a place for brunch in the neighborhood. Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

Thanks for all of the great suggestions. For several reasons, we are going to go with reservations at Dovetail.

Wherever you go, be prepared to wait.

As I mentioned above, Ocean Grill does take reservations and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes.

Sarabeth's is ok but I always get the feeling I am eating at a "chain" restaurant.

The restaurant in the NYHS is Caffè Storico.

Isabella's - get there early to avoid the crowds.

Ocean Grill is the sister restaurant to Isabella's and just across Columbus. Almost identical menu and they take reservations!

Ocean Grill, right behind Natural History -- very good brunch and lunch options, great service, and conducive to conversation.

Not sure what you are looking for but here are two very different options.

Dovetail - very nice restaurant, very good food, very close to museum

Barney Greengrass - an iconic restaurant with the best fish going but they also have breakfest items (oddly enough most include the aforementioned fish). This is a real old school place, nothing fancy, and a bit of a stroll from the museum

Nice Matin, Good Enough to Eat, Barney Greengrass, Calle Ocho
