LA Times article on Santa Ynez wineries, in los olivos, solvang, buelton, etc.
For some reason, I can't find this article again, it discussed driving down scenic route Hwy 254 where you pass by Lake Cachuma to end at Los Olivos from Santa Barbara area.
The article mentioned about a dozen wine tasting rooms including Longoria Wines in Los Olivos, and back when it was in print there was a map of the itenary.
I believe the article was published in the spring.
THanks for any leads on a link.

Information about the area is usually found on the California board, incidentally.
A few of my favorite wineries: Dierberg-Starlane (excellent Sauv Blanc, Cab, Pinot and...yes..Merlot), Zaca Mesa (Rhone varietals), Rancho Sisquoc (some good value red blends; great picnic area), Rusack (Rhone varietals, and another great picnic spot) and Melville (Pinot, Syrah, picnic).
Wandering Dog wine bar (Solvang) is a good place to sample wines from numerous wineries.
I'm also a big fan of Tercero Wines; they have a tasting room in Los Olivos.

I don't remember anything recent; there was an article several years ago about picnicking in that area. Link below:
