There's that bar on Filbert St. in the underpass between 11th and 12th St. The name escapes me but it has an American Flag in the logo. It's a block away from the CC. Dunno if the food is so hot though. Chinatown is right there too so there would be a lot of good choices there and there is a pub in Reading Terminal Market, Molly Malloy's that is across the street from the Convention Center that is open until 6 PM.

It's the Field House. Apparently they recently redid it as a beer bar, same owner as the City Tap House in West Philly, but I haven't checked it out yet.

The spots on 13th St are walkable. Depending on the time you might be able to squeeze into the bar at Zavino, Barbuzzo or Jamonera. All have good food. Decent backup plans in the same area are Time, Fergie's, The Corner, and Opa.

Time and Fergie's are great suggestions. Time has a great beer selection and an absynthe bar upstairs. Fergies is a nice Irish pub. I highly recommend Zavino. If you walk across Broad, Good Dog is right there and is a fun pub. McGillins and Misconduct Tavern are options as well.

cwdonald, how is the food at Midconduct? It looks pretty good but I haven't had the chance to try it.

Haven't had anything except the house made hot dogs there, but they were outstanding.

I've eaten at Misconduct a number of times...It's fine, but that's about it. I wouldn't shy away from a meal if I was there anyway (which I am fairly regularly because it's good for watching sports, and convenient to a number of friends), but I wouldn't go there specifically for the food.
