Cafe Zitouna [San Francisco]

After a long period of indeterminate closure I was pleasantly surprised to see Zitouna was open last night and crowded at 8:30. They are closed Mondays, as always, and have modified hours of dinner 4:00 - 9:00 Tuesday - Sunday.

Just ate there for the first time last night. My family had merguez sausage, chicken shwarma, Loobia Tajine, shakshukah with meatballs, plus a piece of seminola cake and mint tea.
All very good--- mine was the Loobia Tajine, and the lamb and beans were wonderful. I wish I could go there more often and eat my way through the whole menu.

Good to hear that. If you're eating there on the later side, it's a good idea to call ahead if you want the b'stilla. They will save slices for you if they know you're coming, and it's my favorite thing to get there (note: it's quite sweet)

Honestly I'm not a fan of b'stilla but have been really pleased with everything else I've tried there.
