Not sure it is restaurant, but in Wayland Square (Angell Street) there is a new place called "Olive Tap" next to CVS. A friend of mine said they have fresh bread everyday and yesteday, they were giving it away for free at night, since they had not sold all of it. I'll have to venture over and see what it is all about.

Based upon my Internet research, they are a franchise olive oil / balsamic vinegar / 'gourmet' store. So presumably the fresh bread is for tasting products.
Is there still that franchise olive oil store up on Hope Street in the Rochambeau area? Seems kind of crazy to end up with multiple stores of this type on the East Side in about a one year period (right?). Though I do like my olive oils...

That's kind of a ridiculous statement. Just in the west end right now, two restaurants have opened in the last four months (Kitchen and north), there are three new restaurants opening in the next four months (garden grilles new spot, Julian's new restaurant, the diner on westminister), the eddy just opened downtown and flan y ajo's bar is on the way, plus the new bar in olneyville is opening soon too. That's seems like plenty of business to me.
