suckling pig

I love a suckling pig with crisp skin to bring in the new year. Is their a restaurant or specialty butcher in West LA or Woodland Hills offering such a treat?

Here is a comprehensive thread about whole roast pig.

I just ordered a 20.9-lb suckling from Meat House Costa Mesa and roasted it over Christmas.

You can also order one in advance at Elite Restaurant in Monterey Park. It's excellent.

I truly enjoy the prep, so both prepared and butchered recommendations would be nice, thanks.

I found some great discussion re: suckling pig, but most were old and reflected on the the beverly hills region. I live in Topanga and looking for a butcher close to SM, Malibu, Woodland Hills, maybe asking too much, but black eyed peas, krout and some suckling pig is hard to beat bringing in the new year. thanks

Well, if you find one, let me know. I'm also in your area and would love to know of a great butcher on this side of town.....

Just a quick thought, have you called Bob's market or Vicente foods in Brentwood?

You can start by searching through here. Don't know how accurate or up to date the info is, however.
