Open letter of 'thanks' to Eliot Wexler and noca
As a family, we have been going through some emotionally draining times with several deaths during the holiday season. A significant birthday happened to fall right in the middle of this sadness. It didn't feel right to have a jolly celebration, yet it needed to be marked. Eliot Wexler's superb combination of hospitality, care and gracious generosity was the perfect solution to our prickly problem. Last night's Simple Sunday Supper at noca was exactly the right choice. Thank you, Eliot, for making us feel so cossetted.
Too often I read posts about service glitches; I don't read nearly enough about giving credit for thoughtful service. Kudos to the noca team for last night's supper. You-all made it a special evening for us.
I am sorry to hear about your Holiday issues, but can relate.
Mr. Wexler hangs out here, and I feel that he will both see and then greatly appreciate you sentiments. He takes his restaurant very seriously, as he does his patrons.
As NOCA has been a favorite of ours, we are glad to hear that things went well for you, in a stressful time.
Hope that the New Year is gracious and rewarding to you.
