Cafe' Tango - Union Square?

  • 2

I just noticed this place today. It's in Somerville next to Capone's, across the street from Bloc 11. It appears to be a coffee/pastry/sandwich sort of place. It looks rather small, so for all I know it's been there for a while, but I never noticed it before. Anybody been there?

  1. I also noticed it for the first time the other day and popped my head in. I wonder if they recently improved their signage.

I think it may be associated with a tango studio upstairs?

There is a small area in front, but a few steps further reveals a bar and several tables and chairs - it's actually quite large in the back. Also a raised stage in the back corner.

Menu looks like it has a variety of coffee drinks, breakfast ("made to order"), crepes, other sandwiches and lunch items. The decor is very non-uniform, unique and homey.

The Yelp reviews suggest it is all pretty good and free internet.

I also got the impression that it's associated with the dance studio.

Thanks for your reconnaissance. It sounds like it's worth checking it out one of these days. (As long as I don't have to dance...)
