Can't get the lid to fit on my Cuisinart Ice 20 ice cream maker

Hello Can someone please help? I have used my ice cream maker once and it worked fine. Now I go to use it again and the lid won't go down all the way. The freezer bowl won't fit down to far. Is that normal? I try to fit it like the book says but just won't go together. Help.

I have further looked at it and the bottom of the freezer bowl has a hump in it all the way across on the inside Is it suppose to be that way or should it be flat on the bottom? It's like the bowl sits to high for the lid to go all the way down. But the bowl won't sit down any further. HELP.

Is it possible that something is upside down?

Take a photo, I have a cuisinart, the lid sits up higher.
You'll want to turn the blade part in a way that it looks better but blade goes down towards the bottom, bet that's the problem.

Mine is doing the same thing...I've resorted to using duct tape, not sure if tape will hold once mixture gets thick. Did you figure out the problem with yours?

hikinlady, Yes I finally figured it out. I made ice cream and put it in the freezer. It tells you to not leave the bowl in the freezer but I did. Apparently it froze to much and the bottom inside is warped up so it doesn't all fit together. Check the inside of the part you put in the freezer. If the inside is humped up I don't know of any way to fix it. Good luck.
