East Coast Quahog vs Manila.
A dozen Littlenecks cost about the same as a pound of Manila clams. Shucked, the yield is easily 3 to 1.
I think these little guys look adorable perched on a plate of pasta in a restaurant, but is there any other reason to buy them?
Any Manila champions in Quahog land?

I buy them here in LA, because we cannot get quahogs :(
Manilas are fine for a pasta dish, I've even used them as steamers. But they do not have the complex flavor that I find in quahogs. That's why I mail order them for my family's chowder recipe, that's the only way they made it.
