i want to take my hard-of-hearing dad out in brooklyn -- can you make some quiet and tasty recommendations? somewhere that serves full, sit-down meals, but any price range, any brooklyn location (i have a car), any kind of food except eastern european/german.

Arthur, also on Smith Street. If you eat there on the early side it tends not to be crowded.
