One dinner in Naperville

I will be in Naperville with my family for one dinner. We all are omnivores. What is the best place in town for interesting, quality food.

Is it Katy's Dumpling House. Thats all I have found on the site so far.

What do you like? Where are you from? Does it need to be kid friendly? Are you looking for something uniquely "Chicago"? Does it have to be in Naperville or are you willing to drive 10 - 15 minutes?

My wife and I are from So California but my kids and grandkids live in Naperville (near Auroroa). Youngest is 11, I just want something different from the local chinese, thai, italian, or chain. Uniquely Chicago would be a plus. We are omnivores.

Still same answer. SugarToad. Best place in town for interesting, quality food. :)

For uniquely Chicago in Naperville, go to Lou Malnati's for deep-dish, and to Portillo's for Italian beef and Chicago-style hot dogs. Either could work for lunch as well as dinner. Each has two locations in Naperville. (Note, only the Malnati's in downtown N'ville has sit-down service; the one at 95th and 59 is carry-out and delivery only.)

For Chicago, I was going to say exactly what nsxtasy said. For interesting, quality food but a short drive from Naperville and upscale, I would say Vie in Western Springs.

I've been to SugarToad twice now and thought it was good, but not really good.

Sugartoad's menu seems fairly pricey, Is it worth that?

Vie sounds great but is closed next week for vacation.

Another place close by, that I've heard good things about but have not been to myself, is Adelle's in Wheaton. www.adelles.com

About the same distance as Vie - depending on where in Naperville, 15-25 minutes drive - is Tallgrass, in Lockport. Tallgrass is absolutely outstanding. www.tallgrassrestaurant.com

As a 10 year Naperville resident, have to tip the hat to Adelles for the best dining experience in the area. Fantastic food/service/ambiance.
