Stewed grouper fillet and grits -Bahamas Food Adventure

Chrisonparade Dec 27, 2012 03:45 PM

Ok, so I just got back from my trip to the Bahamas land of the sea, suntans and......grits. This wasn't my first taste of this creamy delight but paired with the local specialty stewed fish (grouper steak smothered in a think brown sauce) a traditional breakfast food of the islands, I was in heaven! Can't wait to tryout the recipe....(tilapia substitute)

Do yourself a favor and seek out rockfish instead of tilapia. It is much closer to grouper in texture and taste.

ditto on the rockfish. but grouper is easier to find these days.

      get good stone ground grits.
