French Onion Soup

Always searching for good French Onion Soup. Like when they serve it with a coating of cheese baked (not microwaved) on top. Anyone can recommend one in NY?

    I had a really good French onion soup at Noi Due. I do not recall if it was on their regular menu or if it was a special,

      Sorry its not in NY but if you ever make it out to Chicago - Bagel Country makes the best french onion soup I have ever had -
