Best Type of Pear for Stilton Cheese?

Is there a particular type of pear you would suggest for serving with Stilton? The pear will be served raw. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

I prefer bosc pears to serve with any cheese plate. They are firmer when they are ripe than say a danjou pear. You can just slice then in half lengthwise and use a small melon baller to scoop out the small core. Then slice however thin you like.

    Merry Christmas!
