tripe or tongue in or between Hudson, Saugerties, Kingston?

For my birthday (coming in a few days), my ritual is to go to various used bookstores in Hudson and Saugerties and then end up at a movie in Kingston. My favorite foods are beef tongue and tripe in virtually any preparation (in other words, anything from tacos and menudo to kosher deli tongue sandwiches to Chinese tripe soup to Italian tripa in red sauce). I'd love to fit in a visit to any restaurant that might serve anything along these lines. Any ideas?

  1. Fleischer's had beef tongue pastrami when I stopped in this passed Friday. From the conversation I had with my friend behind the counter I believe it will be a regular item now.

That's great to hear. Did you try it? I go to Fleisher's fairly regularly so I'll look out for that. Where in store was it? Left, right, or center counter -- or somewhere else?

I did try it, they sliced me off a couple pieces. It was good.

It was on the left in the case that holds the pork and whatever "deli meats" they have at the time...roast beef, pastrami, etc. I don't recall the price though.
