Dinner near Opera house

Going to see 5:30 show for NutCracker tomorrow night- myself and 20 something year olds from CA.
Looking for a festive, close by, place to have dinner after.
Sunday night at 8 ish...nothing too extravagant - but maybe something with a cool vibe.....or something very decorated for the holidays?
thanks for any suggestions!

JM Curley. Not too extravagant and definitely has a cool vibe, not to mention some really inventive and well done comfort food (and craft beer/cocktails).

Much as I love Curley's, I don't think they are open on Sundays.

That is true, you are right. I saw it was sent 1 day ago and mentioned tomorrow night, which I took to mean tonight (nevermind where it says Sunday at 8).

I guess this already happened anyway, so anyone looking at this and going to the Opera House on a non-Sunday, you should go to JM Curley!

will add montien to this list -- ask for the separate thai menu, which is less gringo-ized. great for a group cuz you can share plates and the sushi is actually pretty good.

I usually recommend Teatro, but a poster here ended up at Bistrot du Midi, and enjoyed it a lot. Another nice option.

Teatro is fun and pretty lively. Lots of small plates to share, or reasonably-priced entrees.

see recent thread on Penang. I like it and it's stylish in it's own bizarre way.
