Ethnic groceries in Kinston surrounds?
I've had no luck finding Asian and Indian ingredients (other than the typical ones found at grocery stores). Can anyone guide me to true ethnic groceries in the area? I drive to New Bern and Greenville frequently, so that's no problem....

Mostly you will find Mexican/Latin American markets in eastern NC. Although I had to go to New Bern quite a bit in December and noticed that all/most of the ones that used to be on 55(toward Kinston) had shut down. Mostly these are no help for what you want, although you can find some things that are useful for Indian cooking, like whole cumin seeds.
There's an Asian market in Greenville called Nile Asian Mart that opened up last year; I don't know if it's still open. It was on Memorial, between the driver's license office and Anchalee Thai. These things tend to come and go in Greenville, e.g. the old Jerusalem Market on Greene St. and the Japanese market that was off Firetower eons ago.
