61st Street on the East Side
Looking for a romantic spot for dinner. Any suggestions? Looking for a great piece of fish.
Have you ever been to Felice?
If it's crowded it gets a little loud, but it looks like a nice wine bar, walls made of bricks filled with bottles of wine, comfy leather chairs and wooden tables.
The food is good, solid authentic italian.
Once I had an whole branzino and it was great.
Altho I like the food at Felice, it's basically a tapas place which is loud and crowded. There are many excellent restaurants in that area, eg: JoJo, La Veau d'or, and a veritable restaurant row of good places on E. 58th btw 2nd and 3rd (Felidia, Chola,etc.). And for fish as a specialty it's not far to Aquavit, Oceana, or the Manhattan Ocean Club.
David Burke Fishtail on 62nd and Lex-quite nice food in a pretty townhouse setting. Eat upstairs in the room facing 62nd Street. I think there's a fireplace..
