How to adjust baking for humidity?

Another thread got me to thinking how I haven't made my tres leches cake in a long time because I can't predict (all other things being equal) if it will fall flat or not.

My best guess is that it must have something to do with the weather and humidity. Any way to adjust for that? A dehumidifier in the kitchen?
