Restaurants with great holiday spirit

My husband and I have a rare opportunity for a date night this evening to celebrate an anniversary. I would love some recommendations for a restaurant that has some great Christmas/holiday spirit. We'll probably plan on a relatively early dinner and would be willing to consider places anywhere from Coronado to La Jolla (possibly Del Mar or Solana Beach). A Christmasy ambience is key, but obviously good food is important too. Not sure yet if we'll make a meal out of several appetizers/shared plates or order individual main courses, so recommendations for either would be fine. A restaurant in an area where it would be nice to walk around a little before/after and take in the holiday cheer would be a plus. The only real food restriction we have is that we need a menu with pregnancy-friendly options.
Thank you!

1500 Ocean at the Del would be my choice.

Well, one would never guess, but 1500 Ocean at the Hotel Del is quite Holiday festive;>)

Thank you for the suggestions for 1500 Ocean. Any other ideas? We've already visited the Hotel Del this season to take in the holiday decor. Also, 1500 Ocean is a bit more pricey than I was looking for.

The Prado in Balboa park. Not too expensive, great Christmas decorations, and wonderful X-Mas-y stuff to walk around and see all over that area.

Is there no middle ground for you? Either the Del or the Waterfront?

              Yikes.

                LOL..

I had other options and then read her post that 1500 Ocean is too pricey, so all my other suggestions were nixed and all that was left was the beloved Waterfront, which BTW, scores big for Xmas festiveness..

Bo Beau, Bertrands, Bali Hai, Farmhouse, Inn at Rancho Santa Fe are lovely choices.

It's a fine destination, except for the food.

Maybe the decorations will taste good in place of the food!

Texas burger rocks and I've had some pretty good food for a dive with a very festive bar!

Well, the Del Mar Plaza is pretty festive and a fun place to stroll around. Several good restaurants there. Rendezvous, Pacifica Del Mar, Flavor Del Mar, Il Fornaio (Haven't been here since Chef Robert Gerbino from Tre Porcellini took over)

I have always found the Lodge at Torrey Pines very festive and beautiful and the food is good. I prefer lunch here.
