Decadent/boozy brunch/lunch downtown

Want to pamper a friend who's had a rough go recently. Looking for a weekday brunch/lunch spot that is decadent but not toooooo outrageous in price. Was going to do Norma's, but we're going to be downtown--looking for somewhere E. Village, W. Village, SoHo, Bowery, LES....

Great cocktails or wine list would be an added bonus, though would also take suggestions for cozy wine bars in the Anfora/Terroir model.

Thanks!!

    What's your budget?

It will be easier to find weekday lunch with cocktails than weekday brunch I think.

    Try:
    Locanda Verde
    Peels
    The NoMad
    Fatty Cue

      Try Paulino's. Excellent.

Peels has a good daytime menu, and a great G&T, and other cocktails. Pulinos is def a good call also.

I feel like you've barely limited the city.

You could do lunch at the Dutch, wine at The Room around the corner (SoHo).

Lunch at Locanda Verde, wine at Terroir Tribeca (Tribeca).

Lunch in the Tavern Room at Gramercy Tavern, wine at Corkbuzz Wine Studio (Greenwich Village).

Lunch at Empellion Taqueria, wine at Vin Sur Vingt (W. Village).

Thanks for all the suggestions. A little more formed in plan, so now looking mainly for SoHo, W. Village, or Tribeca. Love Locanda Verde, but have been a few times.....anything new and cozy? How do people feel about Recette?

Recette doesn't serve lunch on weekdays or Saturday. Only Sunday brunch.
