The only thing that I learned for sure from that story is the the Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers had zero security measures at their facility.

I am somewhat confused about the whole heist thing here.

I wish there was a good deal more information. Inside job? Bootleg maple syrup can't be that easy to resell under the international story this became.

I'd also like to know the status of the Canadian bee heist story. Bees were stolen before the syrup.

A past acquaintance had to put on an exhibition of his original art in order to complete his masters in 'Fine Art'. He scoured the back alley's and found some old pieces of rotten plywood. He found some dog doo doo and smeared it on the pieces of plywood. He drilled holes so he could prop up the plywood pieces with 'ready-rod'. The (cough) 'exhibition took place. The day after he went to get his 'art work' from the gallery. Someone had stolen all the 'ready-rod'. People will steal anything.

We're talking a gazillion gallons of maple syrup here. A Canadian commodity. While I agree shitty people will steal anything, this international heist resulted in the arrest of Canadian officials.

Maybe later today more of this story will be detailed.
