Need a recommendation off Route 4, near NYC

I am meeting a friend for dinner, she's coming out to NJ from the city and we want to meet somewhere close to (or on?) route 4 so it's easy for her. Nothing too $$ (entrees under 25), any cuisine except Indian is fine. Thanks for any suggestions.

  1. There r many restaurants in Ft.Lee/Englewood area specializing in Japanese and Korean Cuisine

    1. How far up Rt. 4 are you willing to consider? Paramus?

      1. If you want to make it easy for your friend, meet at Riverside Square Mall in Hackensack. They have many of the "better" chain restaurants (Rosa Mexicana, Houstons, Cheesecake Factory to name a few), all of which should be in your price range. The best place right over the bridge is the River Palm in Edgewater, but I don't think you can eat there for under $25. At Cafe Italiano on 9W in Fort Lee you can probably eat for $25 if you stick with pasta, but the ambiance leaves a bit to be desired. I only eat there in the summer, when you can sit outside on the front patio. The Bicycle Club down the block is definitely in your price range. It's a bar first, then a restaurant, but the burgers and the salads are OK. However, if you are not drinkers, skip "the Bike".

Haven't been to the Square in a while, but Maggiano's Italian used to be there. First time I went to one in Boston, I was blown away. Then to find out it was a chain really blew my mind. And right across the highway is the Coach House Diner...yes, I know...a diner in NJ. Who would have thought.

        2. It's Greek to me, either in Ft Lee or Englewood.

          1. "Conveyor Belt" Sushi in East Japanese in Teaneck. Fun and price is depend on how much you eat.
