Curious if anyone has heard of this place or been before?

Stumbled across it while searching Yelp for some restaurants tonight. I never knew there was a cuban restaurant in Oakville.

Looks interesting but because there is no mention of it good or bad that I can find except one review from a year ago:

  1. If you scroll down on the Yelp page, click on the "filtered" responses at the bottom left. Often if a business doesn't pay Yelp the monthly fee they randomly filter the responses when in fact there can be quite a few reviews.

There's a couple great responses from this year when you click through.

Wow, I had no idea Yelp did that. I never noticed it before. I just did some reading up on it, looks like Yelp's dirty little secret.... I guess they are trying to filter out biased reviews but based on what I have read it may be a business strategy too...

From my experience it's definitely a business strategy. My SO owns a small business and doesn't pay the (high) monthly fees. It's hard to say biased reviews because each day tends to be different for the reviews they decide to filter.

Nice little trick to know though when looking for resto reviews!

I thought they only filter the reviews from people with under 10 reviews, because those are highly probable to be possible shills.

I've got 150 reviews on Yelp and have never once ended up in the filtered list

      2. Its good stuff.I know good Cuban food because I was partly raised in Miami and grew up on Versaille's and Padrino's food.

        1. Got around to going today.

Pretty decent Cubano sandwich. Plenty of meat/cheese/etc for $8.99

Would go back to try some other items. It was DEAD at lunch time though. I hope they get some more business or are busier at other times of the day. I didn't even know that plaza existed and I work fairly close to it!
