Breakfast in Richmond
I'm going to Richmond for a short business trip in early-January. I'm looking for a delicious restaurant to have breakfast in on a Tuesday morning before hitting the road and heading back to DC.
Ideally something with a little Southern flare would be great! Thanks.

re: Janet from Richmond
I'm not sure yet (the organization I am working with is taking care of my reservations).
Also I mixed up the day---I'll be looking for breakfast on Wednesday morning. But likely will want to eat around 9:30-10am before hitting the road.
Some friends recommended Comfort (haven't been able to get their website to work), Dairy Bar and Baker's Crust. Any thoughts?

re: Elyssa
Comfort is not open for breakfast. Baker's Crust is fine, but not southern as such. Have only had milkshakes and grilled cheese at the Dairy Bat.
BUT, this is where you should go :-) If you can wait until 10:00 am
If not, I'd go to The Jefferson Hotel

I love the chocolate-peanut butter milk shake for breakfast at Dairy Bar, the pancakes and such are pretty good as well. Always wanted to try their herring breakfast. I also like their country ham, good and salty though not overwhelming (though that depends on your tolerance for country ham I suppose)
