Anyone ever cook a Prime Rib from Restaurant Depot. How was it.

I'm in New Jersey.....Restaurant Depot has at least half dozen different options for Prime Rib, beginning with Select, Choice or Prime grades available. Then you have your choice of Boneless or Bone-In, 109 or Hotel Export. In the past, there were also Hereford and Red Oak Valley meat packers for more premium beef. Their house label is Superior Angus.

With that said, I've been purchasing meat from Restaurant Depot for years. The Red Oak, Hereford and Superior Angus brands are all good.

Check the clearance rack...I once purchased a full Strip Loin with the Cryovac package opened......I was able to purchase it for under $40 and it was one of the best holiday roasts I ever prepared.
