candied lemon instead of candied orange peel in cookie recipe?

Hi! I decided I want to make these cookies for a cookie exchange I am going to later this week.

She uses candied orange peel and I happen to have candied Meyer lemon peel. How do folks think that flavor would go with this cookie?

Should be OK, actually excellent, meyer lemons are a cross between lemon and orange.
