Christmas Eve dinner near Red Bank or Asbury

  • 8

Looking for a nice restaurant for Christmas Eve dinner. Nicholas is booked until 9:15. We had a bad experience at Fromagarie a few years back. Looking for something different.

  1. Don't know how far south you want to go but you can't go wrong with the Shipwreck Grille in Brielle.

    1. OK. Please list your favorite "fine dining" between Red Bank and Asbury Park

      1. Being Italian, to me Christmas Eve isn't Christmas Eve without am Italian Seafood dinner. Maybe give Via 45 in Red Bank a try. Not as upscale as Nicholas or Fromagerie but certainly a great place where I am certain you will have a great meal worthy of the occasion.

        1. Well, where did you end up please? And a review?

          1. Joe - We ended up at Raven & Peach. I would give it a mixed review. The service and atmosphere was very good. They had a limited menu without the usual petite options. The shushi appitizer was good but served with wooden skewers to be used as chop sticks. Wierd. And the shushi was cut too thick. The main course grouper was very good. A nice evening but not outstanding or memorable.

Wow I'm very surprised to hear that. Raven and the Peach is and has been my go to spot for fine dining in the Red Bank area for years.

Only Nicholas do I put the food quality up against it but to me the atmosphere is far superior at the Raven. Sorry you were disappointed.
