Decided to try the Ivy League in Howell after my son's basketball game Friday night and was happy I did. It was difficult to find a parking spot when we first arrived, so I thought it would be difficult to get a table for four when we got inside, but it wasn't. The place was packed, but we were pleasantly greeted and seated immediatley. We were quickly served our drinks as we read about the daily specials.
It was prime rib night ($16 for 12 oz), so I ordered one up cooked rare. Son went for chicken parm, wife had coconut shrimp and ceasar salad, and brother had grilled salmon. All three were huge portions, enough to feed to people each, so we did have some leftovers to take home, which we did. I was so pleased that my steak was actually rare, that I ate the whole thing, and left most of my vegatables on the plate to take home. Chicken parm portion was also huge, but average fare. Coconut shrimp was also average fare, but the Salmon Teriyaki impressed. Cooked very nicely, moist and flavorful.
Too much food to indulge in dessert, but overall, a very good experience. Total bill, including tip, was $100 for four, a good value, in my opinion. I would go back next time I am in that area and looking for a satisfying meal.
