Having to keep logging- in?

Justpaula Dec 14, 2012 09:53 PM

I apologize in advance if this issue has already been raised and discussed, but a glance at the first three pages of posts on Site Talk didn't turn up anything for me.

Has anyone else been finding that they are required to sign-in A LOT more often than they had to before the site redesign? I feel like I used to remain signed in for at least a day, if not more, but now, if I put my Kindle Fire down or visit another site for ten minutes then a repeat log- in is required. This is becoming pretty annoying.

I always have REMEMBER ME checked, but it never does.

    Hi Justpaula.

We have had other reports of this issue:

Unfortunately we haven't yet been able to reproduce it, which makes troubleshooting it difficult. But we are aware of it and will do our best to address it.

Okey dokes. Sorry I missed the previous post and I appreciate your response. I will be patient....definitely not the worst thing in the world to have to keep signing in.

See, now tonight, I just returned after several hours and I am still logged in. Perhaps you were able to fix it? Either way, thanks to your team for working so hard on troubleshooting and resolving these types of bugs since the re-design. I imagine it must be a boatload of work.

I'm afraid we can't take credit- no changes were made to login since before your original post. This inconsistency is at the crux of the problem: we have yet to find a pattern that we can use to track the bug to its source. If you do notice any oddities that might be related to your lost logins, please do let us know. Thank you for your patience, and for your report.
