Puerto Rico with Toddler
Hello! My husband and I are travelling to Puerto Rico next week for 2 weeks with our daughter who is almost 2 years old. We are staying in Old San Juan for 5 days, near El Yunque for about 4 days and then the rest of the time in Vieques. We are going to have a car for the whole time so we plan on venturing out to other parts of the country as well for day trips, etc.
There is a lot of information on the board about PR... I'm wondering if anyone has travelled there with children and has any recommendations on the best restaurants (food-wise, of course!) that are also ok for kids in terms of atmosphere (our daughter will eat anything - but don't want to bring her into the wrong place where if she makes noise, etc it will disturb others). Also - any great restaurants that we should try and go to and get a sitter????
Thanks for any advice. As always, I'll be perusing the boards extensively, but appreciate any and all anecdotes anyone would like to share!

My family comes here often, so we've spent quite a bit of time eating here with young children. We like Don Pepe on Rt. 3 near Rio Grande. I'm assuming that will be close to you when you are near El Yunque. In Old San Juan we often eat at Cafe Puerto Rico. On Rt. 3 there is a steam table Lechonera called El Verde in Rio Grande that we often get take out from.
