Dinner at Sandrine's

bgavin Dec 14, 2012 06:38 AM

We are having dinner at Sandrine's on Sunday evening, after the Christmas Revels. Neither of us has been there. What do my fellow Chows recommend? Opinions on their degustation menu? At $65, it seems very reasonably priced.

Can't help much in the meat department, but their tarte flambee are excellent, their salads are very good, and they always have one, fairly creative vegetarian entree on the menu, which has never let me down.

I was also pleasantly surprised by their cocktails. Their sidecar is almost as good as the one I make--no small feat! The chocolate kougelhopf was, unfortunately, not as great as it sounds.

A comfortable, warm atmosphere. It's not mind-blowing, but overall, I'd be surprised if you didn't enjoy it.
