Gluten Free Doughnuts?

I want to have a Hannukah get-together this week with doughnuts. My sister in law was recently diagnosed with celiac disease. Any hounds have a lead on gluten free dougnuts? Or should I just get her a pint of ice cream

  1. Where do you live? There's a good gluten-free place in Ellicott City that probably will have them It's called One Dish.

    1. I saw shelf space for gluten free doughnuts in the freezer section of MOM's Organic Market this weekend. They were out, but it was nice to see that they can be found somewhere.

The One Dish menu online does not show gluten-free doughnuts.

I did find a gluten free bakery in Alexandria and visited it for the first time this weekend. It's in Del Ray, and called the Happy Tart Bakery. I tried three things - a cupcake, a pastry strudel (Nutella), and a tartlet. All of those were very good and compared favorably with the taste of a bakery item made with wheat - a rare thing from what I have found so far since I have gone gluten free. The owner supposedly responds to suggestions, so maybe she should be asked about doughnuts.
