Lunch for my hardworking staff

Food Smith Dec 14, 2012 05:14 AM

I'm taking my staff of 6 out for the annual lunch in SF next week. We want a place with great food, contemporary ambience that stimulates conversation. In the past we've done Taditch, Boulevard, One Market. not looking for sandwich, soup or pizza menus. What's new and fun that will make my staff feel special?

Not very new, but "with great food, contemporary ambience that stimulates conversation" I would recommend Cotogna. Best meal we had on our trip out to your great state last month.

Interesting. I didn't realize they were open for lunch.

We had a great time at our holiday lunch a couple of years ago.

I'd consider Joe's at Wash. Sq. Not everything is great, but the fritto misto sure is. Fried lemon fer god's sake! Who knew?

I think the first place I encountered fried lemon in a fritto misto was at Zuni almost 25 years ago.

AQ's not doing lunch any more, only brunch on Sunday.
