I am making a pot of glogg on Saturday and cannot find whole blanched almonds. Looked in Trader Joe's, Stop and Shop and Big Y. Any suggestions on finding them? Or should I substitute?

Did you try Whole foods or Elm City market?
You can also buy almonds skin on, roast them and put the in a dish towel to rub the skins off.

Or dump them in a big pot of boiling water for a few minutes, then drain.

Not certain, but I'd be shocked if Fairway in Stamford didn't have them

Ocean State Job Lot actually has a great specialty foods section. Also Check with Edge of the Woods in New Haven.
