Wondering if anyone in the NY area has a recommendation for a really great donut. I am open to various flavors, but nothing sickly sweet and nothing with the fake, red jello-type filling.

i'm a non-filling girl myself. i like the mini donuts i get from eagle's, on the corner of 13th ave and 38th street. prime butcher baker has also been selling me non-filling sufganiyot that are good. eagle's also has a dairy caramel topping for the mini ones, and a chocolate ganache topping.
