Dinner in Downtown

I'm in Boston on Monday evening staying in a downtown hotel and am looking for a dinner spot within walking distance of the Langham Hotel. Preference is for seafood as I live in the Southwest far from any ocean.

Without a doubt Meritage. The walk isn't too bad and the food is excellent. The wine list is great too. I highly recommend getting a few (two or three) small plates. Everything comes big or small. You can also look out on a small bit of the harbor as you eat.

City Landing is doing some great things with seafood. They are only a few blocks from Langham at the base of Long Wharf.

BTW, Scallops have beeen exceptional this year
